Every year at Comic-Con, there always seems to be an opportunity somewhere to sit on the fabled Iron Throne from HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. This year, that opportunity is at Amazon Fire TV’s “Fast Forward to the Future” activation located at 517 7th Avenue in downtown San Diego.
“Fast Forward to the Future” guests can expect an immersive, hands-on experience (no SDCC badge required!) with the future of television and the full Fire TV portfolio, including the new Fire TV Cube and Toshiba 4K Ultra HD Fire TV Edition. You’ll also have a chance to escape into favorite shows including HBO’s Game of Thrones, NBC’s The Good Place, and Amazon Prime Video’s Jack Ryan.
Amazon, who has a history of creating memorable experiences at SDCC, continues the tradition this year with Fire TV and their “Fast Forward to the Future” activation. Not only does this mark Fire TV’s SDCC debut, but it will also be one of the first opportunities TV fans will have to try the all-new Fire TV Cube - a hands-free 4K Ultra HD streaming media player with Alexa, that allows them to control their TV from across the room.
“Fast Forward to the Future” will take you on a journey through the evolution of television, showcasing how Fire TV now makes it easier than ever before to watch all of your favorite TV shows and movies, control smart home devices, use Alexa skills, listen to music, and more.
You can visit “Fast Forward to the Future” and test out all of the Fire TV offerings, including the newly launched Fire TV Cube during SDCC now through Sunday July 22 from 9:00AM – 6:00PM (Sunday hours end at 5:00 PM).
At least the movie only runs 70 minutes, though I suppose that extra 10 technically disqualifies it from being a literal amateur hour.
