Fitting the textbook definition of an average thriller, “Passenger” seems like ordinary “quota” work to fill in a mandatory line on a corporate spreadsheet.

Creepy streaks keep the film’s head above water as straightforward horror regardless if the underlying context is real or fake.

It would be less hyperbolic to simply say “Whistle” is the most cliché-riddled thriller of 2025 and 2026 at a minimum.

There’s a 2010s indie horror vibe running through “Descendent,” which I mean in the most complimentary manner possible.
