Author Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, which consists of both “Interview with the Vampire” and “The Mayfair Witches,” is taking over downtown San Diego in a big way with a fully immersive recreation of cursed New Orleans streets. Dubbed “The Street of Immortality,” AMC’s activation celebrates both critically acclaimed series with an eerie experience where fans can keep an eye out for bloodsuckers and witches wandering iconic locations including Hotel Iberville and Nawlins Records. While walking through the street, attendees will also be treated to exclusive souvenir giveaways and limited edition items like “The Elixir of Immortality,” a cocktail presented by POM Wonderful. Other activities feature multiple video and photo ops, as well as interactions with actors who’ll take you as deep inside Anne Rice’s worlds as anyone can possibly get!
Daily admission is FREE, but limited, and will almost certainly be one of the hottest tickets in town, so be sure to register at the link below before it’s sold out. Otherwise, you might be stuck in a standby line, and then you might miss out on even more of the fun that San Diego Comic-Con has to offer!
Now would also be a perfect time to follow @Immortal_AMC on Instagram or Twitter for updates on both shows, as well as for more activation details, and don’t forget to catch up with “Interview with the Vampire” and “The Mayfair Witches” on AMC+. And don’t forget to come back to Culture Crypt throughout the convention for more SDCC updates along with hands-on coverage of the Immortal Universe experience itself. In the meantime, enjoy a teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of “Interview with the Vampire.”
At least the movie only runs 70 minutes, though I suppose that extra 10 technically disqualifies it from being a literal amateur hour.
