Dimension Films has long been a top name in terror entertainment with their work on the Hellraiser, Halloween, and Scream franchises, among others. Dimension will expand their horror stable once more when their new thriller POLAROID arrives in theaters on August 25th, 2017.
Directed by Lars Klevberg, written by Blair Butler, and produced by Roy Lee and Chris Bender, POLAROID stars Kathryn Prescott (FINDING CARTER), Mitch Pileggi (THE X-FILES), Grace Zabriskie (THE GRUDGE), Tyler Young (EYEWITNESS), Keenan Tracey (BATES MOTEL), Samantha Logan (THE FOSTERS), Priscilla Quintana (STRANDED), Madelaine Petsch (RIVERDALE) and Javier Botet (MAMA, IT).
FILM SYNOPSIS: High school loner Bird Fitcher has no idea what dark secrets are tied to the vintage Polaroid camera she stumbles upon, but it doesn’t take long to discover that those who have their picture taken meet a tragic end. Based on the award-winning short by Lars Klevberg, the haunting story mixes elements of THE RING and FINAL DESTINATION to create a unique and scary horror film.
At least the movie only runs 70 minutes, though I suppose that extra 10 technically disqualifies it from being a literal amateur hour.
